About QuarkGluon

Many people have asked why QuarkGluon was founded. The story actually begins in early 2010 when I started developing the trading infrastructure for a hedge fund. It rapidly became apparent that even a small number of servers were producing a substantial amount of logging data. It was difficult to keep track of it all. Regulatory pressures, error troubleshooting and root cause problem finding were becoming a real pain with the off-the-shelf technologies employed.

I knew there had to be a better way to deal with this huge amount of information, so that I could stay sane and actually do some development! It was then that I became driven by a mission to help other firms spend time building their businesses by eliminating their compliance headaches and infrastructure problems. I decided to combine a straightforward user interface with a powerful log input data storage engine and the science of machine learning to create QuarkGluon and our flagship product LogReveal.
